A Love Poem
This is a story within a story - an analogy that opens up
our relationship with Jesus Christ, our Bridegroom.There is much in the Bible
to establish this perspective; through the Psalms, and through the Prophets, as
they spoke of the wayward bride, Israel.But in the New Testament, we see Jesus
speaking in the same way of His relationship with us. He left His glory, to
track us down and stand in our place, bearing our punishment and our shame,
making it quite plain that it was out of His passionate love and desire
to win us.He made this so much more obvious to me, some years ago now. When I
started this most recent part of my journey with Him, I was full of
uncertainty, feeling I was so patently unworthy of Him. But, over time, I began
to see that I was changing into the person He always saw me as - that precious
bride, He gave all to win.This book takes you on the journey with me.
